What kind of throat problems can affect my child?

Many problems with the mouth and throat can affect children. Tongue tie (ankyloglossia) can prevent proper bottle feeding, and can sometimes require a small tongue release procedure. Nasal speech can sometimes require speech therapy and pharyngeal surgery. Children can also suffer from recurrent sore throats and bacterial infections. Children often suffer from snoring and pediatric sleep apnea. These diseases can sometimes be treated with surgery (tonsillectomy with or without adenoidectomy). An evaluation by our certified Otolaryngologists can help identify the problem with your child and start the appropriate treatment.
