Surgery for prominent ears in adults is performed by our surgeons at the Clinique ORL de Montréal under local anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation. The surgeon sculpts the cartilage behind the ears to reposition the ears in a position closer to the head. The sutures behind the ear are dissolvable. It is a day surgery outpatient procedure, and a dressing is placed for 5-7 days after surgery.
These procedures are not covered by health insurance, therefore there are consultation and procedure fees.
