Botox and hyaluronic acid injections

Botulinum toxin is often called "Botox", however Botox is rather the trade name of the most used brand. There are also three other brands on the market, Dysport, Xeomin, and Nuceiva. We refer to all of these as neuromodulators. When injected into the face neuromodulators smooth out wrinkles on the face. The procedure is essentially painless and takes a few minutes. The resuming of activities and work is done the same day.
Unlike neuromodulators, fillers are products used to fill volume-deficient areas of the face, most commonly cheekbones, lips, the under-eye, nasolabial folds, lips, and the chin. However many other areas can be targeted. We usually use hyaluronic acid, which is a product that is naturally present in human tissues. When it is injected, it lasts up to 2 years depending on the product and the injected area. Injections are done in a precise and delicate manner, and are generally well tolerated with very little pain and swelling.
